Discerning Religious Life for Women
Hey sister. Want some sisters?
But first, what’s the difference between a sister and a nun?
The two are often used interchangeably, and although the two are similar, there are some important differences. A nun’s life is spent in prayer, working within a convent or monastery. Sisters are more active in the larger community, working in schools, hospitals, mission houses, and for anyone in great need. Both take vows, live within a sisterhood, and devote their lives to God entirely.
